Shu Uemura Recreation

Hi everyone,

long time no see! Lots of things going on... I hope to be back to posting more regularly again but honestly cannot promise right now - hope you understand!

Anyway, I bought those gorgeous feather lashes at Ricky's in NYC and decided to do a recreation of this Shu look:

I am not sure about the glittery stuff on her cheek... I tried glitter, but don't think it looks good enough. Anyone have any ideas for better stuff to use?

Product List
Face:MAC Studio Fix Fluid NC15, MAC Studio Finish NC15, silk powder, MAC Improvise, MAC Good as Gold
Lips: MAC Studio Fix Fluid, MAC Headliner l/g
Eyes: Art Deco Eyeshadow Base, MAC Museum Bronze, MAC Blonde's Gold, Maybelline Expression kohls in black & white, Mattese Lashes, MAC Gold Glitter

I think the glitter is actually white/ pale powder. If you load a brush and tap off the excess onto your face you'll get a similar effect :) Other than that, this left me with a craving for feathery falsies! Very pretty.

You've done a beautiful recreation of the original look. I've always been a fan of feathered eyelashes, and you've pulled them off beautifully. Welcome back! I was beginning to really miss you looks!

I think this make-up looks better is you "erase" or tune down your brows, cuz the lashes takes a lot of space and when they meet the brows, it gives a "mean" look to something supposed to look "fairy-feathery"

Other than that, I dig the the glitter :)

I think that the eyebrows give a certain 'kick' to the recreation of the look.
As far as I am concerned, I think the MUA used more than one colour of glitter to create some depth on the model's face or the glitter used was a chunky one (MUFE make glitters like that).
Good that you're back from your vacation, I hope you had a great trip.

Looks beautiful! For the stuff on her cheeks, I would definitely try a high metallic pigment like Lime Crime's Treasure Chest. I love love love your feather lashes!
