Surreal Mermaid

You all probably know I have a weakness for all kinds of aquatic colours - seafoam, turquoise, mint, you name it. And the most beautiful in my opinion is Surreal by MAC,that gorgeous seafoam shade with a subtle gold shimmer. Besides, I've been wanting to try the "fishnet" technique for some time, so I took this wonderful opportunity :)

I started with the fish scales pattern by applying MAC Surreal and Meadowland on top of stretched fishnet tights so the scale patters reflects subtly on my skin. The I applied Surrwal to my lids as well as Plumage in the crease and Platinum to highlight the inner lid. The lashes I found at Claire's, they're very long and very feathery! On the lower lid, I'm wearing p2 Lengthening lashes cut into singles. I also glued on some iridescent rhinestone drops to create a kind of "fishtail" in the outer corner:

Violet Duchess

I've been ill since last friday, so I try to make good use of my time and paint a little :) Nothing too complicated, but I was feeling like some blue/purple combo today. The lid was done with MAC Lovely Lily and Violet pigments, and the crease is MAC Cool Heat, Lime Crime Duchess and Pure Luxe Turquoise Aura. The liner essence Pretty Cool is feathered out in the outer corner and I added some teal sequins for that glamour touch.

Moonlight

Inspired by essence's Moonlight collection, which in turn was inspired by "New Moon", I created a look that's part vampire, part arabic-inspired to complement my new NYX lipstick in Violet Ray. Hope you like it! I don't often wear dark or blue-based lipcolours but Violet Ray is so pretty - it's very pigmented but still glides on easily and doesn't dry out my lips...

Banana Mochi

I did this look yesterday using the Zoeva palette and Fyrinnae's Banana Mochi. I also applied the yellow beneath my eyes but I wouldn't do that again - at least with a shimmery shade. Hello undereye circles!! And I also forgot to bring my really small brush so the crease gradation went up higher than it was supposed to be. Oh well :) The inner lid as brightened applying a tiny amount of MAC White pigment on top of Banana Mochi:

Salmon Lilies

I tried to recreate the lily look on my eyes: First, I drew the outline of the petals with Maybelline kohl in white, then filled them in using white, beige and salmon colours from the Zoeva 88 Mattes palette. I glued on some pearls on the lower lashline and some small rhinestones on the outer part. For the lashes, I cut p2 Lengthening lashes shorter, and cut the surplus lashes into separate parts again, then I glued the "single" lashes to my lower lashline and the longer band to my upper lashline. To finish the look, I also applied some black eyeliner and white kohl on my waterline. Voilà:

Platinum Jade

When I woke up this morning, I had that idea in my head for a really cool tropical look inspired by white sands and waters of a deep turquoise shade - it was fabulous! Well, at least I pictured it to be fabulous, but then I was standing in front of the mirror and failed miserably in trying to get it onto my lids... So I wiped everything away and started afresh with something random, which came out like this:












Note to self: Heritage Rouge just isn't that great if you blend it a lot :/
